Position: Warehouse Logistics Support Co-worker
Department: Warehouse Logistics
Reports to: Warehouse Logistics Specialist
Introduction
DC Shanghai works with several warehouse management systems that steer operations in the Distribution Center. Warehouse Logistics Department must determine the most efficient way to use these systems and manage the warehouse in order to meet the demands of IKEA stores that receive our deliveries. The system is strongly connected to other IKEA supply chain systems such as the order system, article register and transport system. To be able to support the warehousing business in the most efficient way, we are looking for a Warehouse Logistics co-worker that can support the Warehouse Logistics Specialist.
Assignment:
-Support the strategic development and local maintenance of the warehouse system
-Continuously optimize the working procedure in the warehousing system
-Make proposals for change requests on the warehouse system
-Update registers and make tests of the efficiency by different solutions
-Handle problems in the set up of the warehousing system
-Take contact with the system developer in case of changes
-Handle new releases and do education for new releases as well as for new co-workers
-Understand and optimize the warehousing process inside the supply chain
Competence:
-Fluent in speaking and writing in English
-Basic knowledge of any warehouse management system
-MBA in Business, Logistics and/or IT
-Able to quickly comprehend the complexity of IKEA’s warehouse business
